The clinical research behind our method sets us apart
Our approach
Clinical research is central to our mission. Grounded in clinical data, the Lucid Method significantly prevents and reduces medication dependence, improves physical functioning, and increases quality of life. By taking a rigorous scientific approach, we’re leading the next phase of telemedicine for the prevention and reversal of unnecessary dependence on medication issues.
What is the Lucid Method?
The Lucid Method uses the framework of motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy, where we help our members through pain coaching and expert knowledge. From preparation, to action, to maintenance and support, our team and digital tools help members reduce their pain while improving their emotional well being and quality of life.
The Lucid Method is rooted in clinical research.
The University of Texas
MD Anderson Cancer Center
This study evaluates the impact of Lucid Lane’s perioperative pain management program across two cohorts of patients about to undergo surgery: those that were taking opioids before surgery and those that were not.
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston
The purpose of this study is to examine the safety, acceptability, and feasibility of a controlled taper off of opioids and/or benzodiazepines, with the use of behavioral health telehealth-based therapy services, in the perioperative patient.
Veterans Affairs – Palo Alto Health Care System & Stanford University
The investigators are evaluating if the addition of a pain coach before and after surgery, through a telehealth platform (LucidLane) can improve participant’s recovery from major joint surgery.
